Ty loves Cub Scouts! At the last pack meeting he got to help with the flag ceremony. He was so excited that he got to carry the flag. Ryan Reed is soooo awesome with him. Ty loves him and thinks that he is the greatest! We think so too!

Blue and Gold Banquet & the father/son cake
Ty loves his scout uniform so when I asked him what kind of cake he wanted to make he said, "I want to make my hat!" So that is what they did! He was very proud of his hat cake.

Basketball District Champions!
This is a little late...
During the season, they only lost to one team and that was Katy Junior High. They lost by 6 points the first game and 4 points the second game. So, we were very excited to play them for the title of District Champs! During those 2 games whenever the coach would take Kaitlyn out is when they would have a little run....so needless to say...Kaitlyn played the entire game minus about 30 seconds. She had a great game and played very hard. This was a great group of girls. We won 33 to 26.

Special Olympics
When Ty turned 8 he was allowed to participate in Special Olympics. He loves being part of a team so this has been great for him. His first competition was "basketball skills". They had a parade of athletes and an opening ceremony. It was really hard to control my emotions as I was looking around and realizing that this is our life...! He had a great time and we are all very proud of him.
Parade of Athlete's
Opening Ceremonies...passing the torch
Waiting to get started
We got lots of thumbs up's the whole day!
Getting his bronze medal was the best! He was so proud of himself, he ran out there like he owned the place.

Shot Put & Discus
In track, Kaitlyn decided to throw. She has had 2 meets. They have to try out for each meet and they only take the top three girls. She qualified for both meets in both events as the top seat. The first meet she got 2nd in the discus. Her second meet she got 3rd in the shot put and 3rd in the discus.
She is throwing farther each time. She was mad at herself after the 2nd meet because she could have had 2nd place in the discus but she scratched 2 times (it landed right on the line) and her third throw wasn't very good. She is getting the hang of it for sure. She really is good at just about anything that she tries!
